All About The Grand Opening of Aquatro Gallery

Crowd gathering for the ribbon cutting during Aquatro’s Grand Opening.

Even though it’s been a couple of weeks (Gulp, today makes 3!!!), we wanted to make sure we posted some pictures from the proceedings and say a REALLY BIG THANK YOU to all who attended. Over 80 people dropped in on our little Grand Opening – dear friends and new guests – and, thankfully, the weather held on through the typically cool evenings on the water.

As you can see, we were able to have the food inside and the festivities were inside and outside. Everyone was excited to see all the new work by Gigi, as well as the new scarves and design items from Guatopo, and the Amore By Grace Edwards line of jewelry. More than one person remarked that it was hard to take it all in because there was so much new stuff – we take that as a compliment. From the photos below, you can see that the gallery is nicely laid out with plenty of room to ooh and aah!

Gigi Mederos and Grace Edwards toast Aquatro’s success during the opening!

The last picture we’re posting here is our favorite from the evening – partners, Gigi and Grace, toasting the success of the gallery and the Grand Opening. A special gracias must go out to Tita Mederos, Gigi’s sister, who stayed with us during the ramp-up period before the opening and was a vital part of keeping the ship moving forward (not to mention a valued member of Team Guatopo!). Also, thanks to Jordan Rubin, the sushi master over at the Madfish Grill, for supplying the party with an infusion of beautifully-crafted maki rolls – they were perfect.
